Point Blank are back with another review, this time looking at AIAIAI Audio’s brand new TMA-2 Wireless+ studio headphones.

AIAIAI and Richie Hawtin have teamed up on a new pair of studio headphones called the TMA-2 Studio Wireless+. The new headphones aim to solve the problem of sound quality and latency issues when using older bluetooth headphones in the studio by creating a new protocol that provides lossless sound and near latency-free response. 

Headphone manufacturer AIAIAI and UK independent label Ninja Tune have teamed up on a new pair of headphones made from the imprint’s own recycled vinyl. The headphones feature Bluetooth 5.0 and are based on the existing TMA-2 model that is popular among DJs and producers. The headphones come with both on-ear and over-ear vegan leather cushions and last for up to 20 hours of use. 

Charlotte de Witte has collaborated with headphone and audio company AIAIAI on a special branded pair of DJ cans. The new headphones which will bear the logo of her label KNTXT on a special version of the TMA-2 DJs, limited to a run of 500 units.

AIAIAI have added a wireless Bluetooth option to their popular TMA-2 Modular headphones. AIAIAI’s Modular system, that allows users to completely customise every aspect of their headphones, now features the H05 band which originally started life as a Kickstarter project in 2016.

Ed Banger head honcho Busy P has teamed up with AIAIAI to release a limited edition Ed Banger version of their TMA–2 headphones.

The new Ed Banger edition are built around AIAIAI’s TMA–2 modular headphone, however the sound profile has been specifically developed by Ed Banger Records and is recommended for bass lovers and those who like their music loud.

The cans are also designed to provide heavy, powerful bass audio playback even at very low volume levels.

The headphone market is a crowded space with headphones coming in at all price-points, shapes and sizes, alongside in-ear, on-ear and over-ear options.

AIAIAI are continuously looking to push the boundaries when it comes to their headphone technology, creating a standard that is future-proof, and with this ethos comes the newest addition to their TMA-2 Modular range:  the H05.

The H05 is a new smart headband for their TMA-2 Modular Headphone System being launched on Kickstarter — a Bluetooth headband that allows the TMAs to be used free of wires.
